Welcome!

Since you're looking around, you might be interested in a few bits of info about me.

Read on...

As a tiny human I had lots of time on my hands.  I loved running and riding my bike, but I spent most of my time indoors. I lived in a large city in a tenth floor apartment, and that came with some obvious limitations.

I was a fidgety, curious and anxious kid. I enjoyed making my own toys with cardboard boxes, scissors, markers and glue. That was my idea of fun, and I never got tired of it.

Becoming an adult wasn't easy for me. I had a bumpy ride: health problems, family issues, and isolation. I felt different at home. I felt different at school. I couldn't find a safe harbor, so I retreated into my imagination and books.

To this day, neither my love of learning nor my innate disposition have changed: I'm prone to sensory overloads, I like my own company, and my brain doesn't seem to have an "off" button.

I'm now old enough to be able to say TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.

In The Portrait of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde wrote:

“Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the coloured canvas, reveals himself.”

I completely subscribe to that statement. You will learn a lot more about me by looking at my work than by reading these lines. There are glimpses of me in every image I make. It feels vulnerable and scary sometimes, but it is the only way to create art that means anything.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you find something that speaks to you.
