A Call to Arms: Artists Unite

Updated: May 7, 2020

Call for Artists

Where: @ TLDF in Williston. Garden Party & Reception 5-7:30 pm. Please text 303-8954730 for directions.

This call is for any artist who already works on collage (digital & analog) as his or her main way of expression, but also for those who are curious and would like to start creating collages as part of their practice.

Take this call as the opportunity to move (if only in spirit) outside your confinement without any fear or worry. Imagine a healed world. Imagine a new normal. What is your deepest wish for a better future?

We appreciate your efforts no matter your level of expertise. We are part of a worldwide celebration of collage as the quintessential 20th century art form. There’s lots of room for interpretation and we encourage everyone to push the envelope and create freely and with joy. We need to uplift and focus on healing as of right now. There's no time to waste.

Ready, set, create!

Submission Requirements

Artists are invited to send original collages no larger than 5x7 inches. Analog collages must be made on heavy paper or matboard. Digital collages can be printed onto quality cardstock. They can be printed full bleed or with a minimum ½ inch white margin all around. Your choice. Archival materials are preferred.

There is NO ENTRY FEE. Enter up to THREE collages per artist.

Please be so kind to supply TLDF with a short bio and a little statement about the piece you are contributing to the show. All pieces will be catalogued and made ready for display in preparation for the show. TLDF will also promote each artist who participates with online posts and the inclusion of selected works in the TLDF Quarterly Journal.

Artwork will be for sale to the public at a flat rate of $20. The artist receives the full amount. Please provide info on how you wish the payment to be made in the event of a sale.

If you wish to have your entry returned to you, be so kind to include a SASE for that purpose.

All artwork is handled professionally and with the utmost care while in house at TLDF.

Selected artwork will be featured in the upcoming issue of the TLDF quarterly journal. The publication will be for sale online and distributed locally in Williston and surrounding areas.

Submissions should be postmarked by July 1st and sent to the following address: PO Box 51 Williston, VT 05495
